Key West was lots of fun to see. The first night it was extremely Humid and uncomfortable, I know I am going on and on about this. But when you have a small RV with no AC, you have no escape. The day that we arrived in Key West, it was 30 C with 100 % humidity. The next day we were rewarded with cooler temperatures. Although Aya would have preferred warmer weather, I did not mind the 20 C and 50% humidity. We drove from the RV Park in Marathon, FL to Key West, ( about one hour). Once in Key West we were hungry, so we found an amazing restaurant on Duval St (Main street). We both forget the name, but it was an old Queen Anne style house turned restaurant with an amazing balcony overlooking the street. After lunch we walked around Key West, mostly touristy stuff, bars and gift shops. We did make a point of snapping a photo next to the most southern place in the Continental U.S. only 90 Miles to Havana, Cuba.
On our way out of the Florida Keys, we stopped at a Key Lime store in Key Largo and found the most amazing sweet item ever!!! A frozen piece of Key Lime pie dipped in chocolate, served on a stick like a popsicle.
Key West is not good for swimming- Check out Siesta Key (2011 #1 Beach in the USA)
