Up and out the door by noon today. Relaxing morning, waffles in the room, checking wifi etc. We started the day by doing a booze and snack run to Costco.

Then out to the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve for some swamp walkin’. Although we did not see any Gators today as it was too cold, it was nice to get out of the City for a walk. New Orleans, in our opinion, is a big dirty city, but it is nice to have an undisturbed area 30 minutes away.

Well don't mind if I do. Thanks to the liquor store clerk for the complimentary paper bag.

Finally Aya tasted Café du Monde Beignets, they are #1 for good reasons.

Bourbon Street is not our cup of tea, it is filled with drunks, homeless people, homeless drunks, strip clubs, scantily clad women (and men)loud bars, more drunks, and pretty much whatever else you can imagine. We took the next photo, as proof that we were here, but nothing worth “writing home about”
