We spent the night at the Walmart in New Iberia. On the way to the Walmart we saw the aftermath of a terrible collision on Hwy Us-90. A car was T-Boned at highway speeds (the speed limit is 120kms) Hopefully everyone survived, it looked bad. Us-90 was closed in both directions, and we had to detour to a frontage road where we could see the carnage. On the frontage road the car three ahead of us was also T-boned due to someone not paying attention in the accident zone. We said a few prayers (we are not religious people) and carried on, thankful we were not involved.  Sorry it was too dark for Aya to take a picture, but it was a sea of flashing lights. It is possible they landed a helicopter on the highway.

We arrived in Scott this morning, and checked into the KOA campground. KOA’s are always beautiful, but usually more than we are willing to pay for a piece of concrete. Aya found a coupon for two nights for the price of one, so it is now within our budget. And the Lakefront pieces of concrete are a real bonus.

It's hard to believe it is mid December.

This place is across the street from the KOA. And with lines out the door it must be good. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, yes it was all worth it.

For those of you who like eating the sad excuse for Jambalaya (another popular Cajun item) they serve in Canada, get down to Louisiana.
